SSL will soon launch its first Owl product. It will be a swarm of typically eight quadrotor Owls coordinated via a laptop. The Owls will be autonomous and can operate outdoors and indoors.

SSL is focused on the emerging Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) Market. We intend to leapfrog the existing competition who offer single MAVs which require skilled human operators. We will provide autonomous MAVs called Owls. Our Owls are lightweight quadrotor helicopters. Quadrotors are fast and can perform most aerobatic manoeuvres as well as hovering. They perform particularly well outdoors in moderately windy conditions.
