Swarm Systems Ltd is a systems integrator. It serves the military market as a prime contractor. Contracts include: delivering capability, development projects and research projects. Its domains of expertise are: Nano Unmanned Air Systems, Autonomous Systems and Fuel Cell Systems. The Nano Unmanned Air Systems are based on VTOL platforms with smartphone user interfaces. The Fuel Cell Systems are high energy density - typically 3x higher Wh/kg than a Lithium battery. Swarm Systems was awarded 'Most Innovative Team' in the 2008 MOD Grand Challenge for autonomous systems; two further autonomous system contracts have been completed since then. Its specialities are innovation and rapid development. It focuses on integrating systems of medium complexity with a hardware element. Swarm Systems is an SME and has a network organisation. Over 20 companies provide sub-contract services to it, giving it the capability of quickly putting together teams of domain experts. Its network comprises SMEs, large organisations and universities. Its mission is to provide the global defence industry with completely new capabilities. Since its formation in 2007, it has had four years of rapid and profitable growth. History & Background

Swarm Systems Ltd was formed in 2007. It is owned by its Management Team. Its aim is to satisfy the need of Armed Forces for innovative SME Prime Contractors to quickly respond to operational requirements.

Swarm Systems Ltd is currently well capitalised. As part of achieving its planned growth, it will raise working capital in the years ahead, with an IPO as the eventual objective.
